New Projects Coming Up

I forgot to mention that along with the Foetal Skull dolls and Plague Doctor dolls, I have 10 other Mourning dolls that are already completed (!), they just need to have their costumes designed and hand-sewn which I will do as soon as the Foetal Skull and Plague Doctor dolls are completed.

I finished up the two "junior" Foetal Skull dolls (smaller than the original seven "adult" Foetal Skull dolls) and I am debating on whether to sell them as twins or separately because they have wonderful expressions that seem to work off each other.

Here are the five of nine Foetal Skull Dolls stuff and sewn.
I just have four more of the "adults" to stuff and sew.

And here are the two "juniors" -
I just love their expressions, like they have
been up to no good.

The Mourning dolls will probably be ready sometime in December, then that will be all the dolls for this year. The next batch of dolls will be ready next year sometime around late summer/early autumn.

I have had a few folks emailing about wanting to see new Tombstone Paintings. I have 20 19th century pine boards all cut and sanded down really nice and ready to go, and I even have all the designs drawn out.

I am looking at around February for these to be painted and ready to post on the web site.

Once the Mourning dolls are completed, I have a lovely mess of new posters to work on, three are collaborations with Wilum Hopfrog Pugmire, Esquire and the four other posters that are already penciled which just need to be inked. I have it scheduled to work on them in December and January, but we'll see how that pans out (I have been trying to get to these posters since, oh geee, since last spring. And here it is, almost Halloween.

And finally, I have been buying more stuff to put in the Vintage and Apothecary sections of the web site, as well as books and I am hoping to get all those vintage mouth gags up in time for the holidays. And that incredibly wonderful and gnarly looking Victorian Humby Skin Grafting Razor, here, check it out:

It is like a really long cheese slicer, and I guess they run it down the body either to take off dead skin or to harvest new skin. It has the word CASUALTY engraved on the handle. Hmmm. Anyway, this will be going up hopefully before the holidays, I will of course keep you posted.
